This may seem like a lot but when you read the rules you will see that a lot of them are actually just common sense. To protect the guild and the guildies and to make sure everyone has an enjoyable time we all have to stick to some guidelines that makes IR a safe and fun environment to be in.
When you join IR you agree to follow the rules, if you are put on a warning by the officers it will be explained why in relation to the rules. Three successive warnings by the council and you will be removed from the guild.
No selling to fellow guildies. All offers in guild chat are free on a need basis, should you wish to give someone a donation for an item please arrange this through /w.
Don't expect the high levels to run you through an instance, we are not a twink guild. We will do our best to support the lower levels by arranging runs for several of them at once. Should a high level offer their time please have the manners to say thanks.
The higher levels wont help if someone of a suitable level has asked to come and been rejected. We would prefer that people experience the dungeons as they were intended (where possible), boosting is a last resort.
No begging of any kind in guild chat channels. What constitutes excessive begging is at the discretion of the officers, this can be for money, items or help.
Real life Religion & Politics have no place in WoW and thus have no place in guild chat. Please do not be offended if we tell you to take it off /G, this will be automatic regardless of the content of the discussion.
We have people aged 13-55, so choose your language with caution. Whilst swearing is not against the rules we ask people to have a general sense of maturity when it is used, and where someone is uncomfortable or offended not only do you stop but you apologise for being offensive.
We are a social guild, not a raid guild. Although we do raid, we don't focus on end-game dungeons.
Each player in IR is expected to uphold our own Raid Ethos and the good name of our guild.
We prefer to raid with close friends. If you are inviting a guild member to a PuG (pick up group) run please make them aware that its a PuG and of course be understanding if they choose to then not go.
The guild is run by an officer council. Please ask an IROfficer or an IROfficerAlt if you have any questions about the guild or any issues/complaints. On all decisions regarding the guild, player behaviour and guild resources the officers word is final. Disrespect of an officers decision/person will result in your expulsion from the guild.
When invited to join IR (including re-join) you are on a 1 month trial, to see if we are the right guild for you, and if you are the right player for us. During the 1 month period you will not be promoted or be allowed to take items from the guild banks. Also during this initiation period you will only be allowed to bring one character into guild.
There is a longer period of initiation before you are allowed to join our raiding alliances. In common examples the minimum for this will be 2 months (1 month being your initiation) however this may be extended if we have concerns about your ability to follow our Raid Ethos.
Any abuse of guild resources will not be tolerated. If you are put on a warning by the guild council, your guild bank privileges and access to Raiding will be removed.
IR prides itself on being a guild with few rules. We would like the guild to remain that way and therefore we ask players to be as mature, understanding and compassionate towards their guild mates and fellow players as possible.
We do however understand that maturity can be different in a community of people and that age isn't much of a factor in measuring it. We ask our members to be patient and understanding with new recruits to give them time to adjust to IR's ethos and to be aware that the officers do monitor behaviour in relation to others within and out with the guild.
If you have any issues with a guild members behaviour please notify a guild officer in private and they will look into the matter and deal with it appropriately.
IR as a guild has a pretty good reputation on Thunderhorn as being a friendly place with players who put friendships before greed, we will protect this reputation as best we can as its paramount to IR success. Should any members actions/behaviour/lack of maturity be found to be damaging towards the guilds reputation it is very likely that the officers will be forced to rethink that players membership in IR.
