About IR
Illidan’s Redemption, or IR as she has come to be know was established as a guild in May 2005. The name Illidan’s redemption comes directly from the storyline of Warcraft 3 and the Frozen Throne expansion and is designed to be integrated with the storyline of WoW. The guilds storyline purpose is to move through the world of Warcraft assisting all that we can however our main goal is to find the fallen night elf Illidan and destroy him for his crimes against the world. Our sworn enemies are therefore the Naga and the Blood Elves, both of whom joined Illidan in the wars of the second coming of the Burning Legion and The Lich Kings ascension to the Frozen Throne.

IR's guild charter was established by Trisk in Darnassus and only four of the original people who signed the guild charter still exist in the guild (Trisk, Elronn, Gossie and Cecilia) however Gossie and Cecilia sadly have stopped playing. The guild has had two tabards in its history both with the tree as the main logo (symbolising the task that Tyrande gave us in destroying Illidan). The original tabard was black, red (and a little pink) and had a white tree in its centre, a few months after the guild was created this was changed by vote to a white tabard with a black tree.
On 25th May 2008 we celebrated our third birthday with a battle royal hosted at the STV arena... in year 4 we we killed Illidan in Black Temple and thus fufilled our lore.
Structure wise IR is a social guild with a great standing on the Thunderhorn server. We focus more on the assistance of each other with items, help and company than we do with the necessity to be in dungeons 24/7 and that is the essence of IR and the reason it’s a nice place to be.

We do Dungeon and Raid and have a pretty successful history of doing so however it will never be the core focus of this guild... we'd rather have just have fun doing whatever takes our fancy than pretend our armour makes us good players.

We have reformed Unity in 2007 which is a collective of guildies and friends through which we do group activities,
IR has many alliances on the Thunderhorn server, and few enemies. Our focus is the strengths of friendships we share with the guilds that are social like ourselves. We have never really felt comfortable associating with Raid guilds as our purposes in the game are totally different.

IR has had 2 guild leaders since its creation however both are the same person. Trisk was retired as a character in favour of the priest Tasanala and she succeeded Trisk as GL of the guild in late 2005. Around the same point the guild established its Council of officers, who for the most part run IR and do a wonderful job of doing so.

We also formed free banks which are available to the entire guild to send and receive items. This was established in 2006 and have now enhanced this with Blizzards Guild Bank feature.
On a personal note IR feels more than a guild to me, it feels like a family. Like all families it’s had ups and downs... fallouts and makeup’s... and more than a fair share of bad luck and dark times. But the guild still stands as strong as its ever been and I'm happy to say with exactly the same principals as it did the day it was formed, friendships above all else.

As the guild leader and as a friend of you all I swear that whilst I still play WoW that will never change, that IR will never die and that I will fight for you all to get what you deserve from the game we all love.

Enjoy the guild, she exists for her members to protect, develop and love.
